Life & Reflection

Change of Pace

The world today moves far too fast,
You can’t tell if you’re first or last.
Everyone’s in a race to the end,
But we all meet the same fate, my friend.

So hear me out—let’s lower the pace,
Life’s not meant to be a hare’s race.
Remember the tale where the tortoise won?
Slow and steady outpaced the run.

It’s time to step back, let the roundabout slow,
Life’s rushing by, just a chaotic flow.
But when we breathe and take it slow,
The blur clears up and starts to glow.

We’re stuck in a rat race, losing our grace,
We all need time—just a little more space.
The world’s out of breath, it’s starting to fade,
It’s time we slowed down, let healing be made.

Let peace take over, let stillness unfurl,
Too many cooks are spoiling the world.
The pot’s nearly empty, the fire’s grown cold,
But no one looks back—they’re chasing gold.

No one cares for the pot that’s bare,
They just want front seats in the rush out there.
Please—I’m begging—let’s slow this ride,
I want to savour life before I’m buried inside.
